STAR
Flight 5K 2008....UPDATE
Bring the whole
family and join your local flight team for the STAR Flight 5K on
March 8, 2008. The race will feature a looped course through
Zilker Park starting and finishing near the rugby fields. The
day will begin with the 5K at 8:00 am to be followed by the Kids
K at 9:00 am. We will also have stroller division for those
that run too fast without their kids.
Awards will be given to the
Overall Male and Female; Overall Masters Male and Female; Top 5
Stroller Finishers; Top 3 for Males and Females in 5 yr age
groups.

American Heroes Airshow 2008
How time 'flies'...! It's that time
again! Grab the kids, the cameras, and the picnic basket and
head out to meet us at the 2nd Annual American Heroes Airshow at Camp Mabry
in downtown Austin. Last year's show saw 10 helicopters from local EMS
programs, Police Departments, and the military and over 3000 spectators.
This year looks to be even better with live music, interviews, and a ton of booths and demos
from Austin Police, Travis County Search & Rescue, Austin Fire Department
Special Operations Division, Texas Military Forces and a whole bunch more!

MedFest
2007....UPDATE
On November 01, 2007 STAR
Flight and Brackenridge Trauma Services held the second annual MedFest
Concepts in Critical Care Conference in Austin. The one day event
featured physician presenters from Austin and San Antonio. Our key
note speaker, Teri Campbell from University of Chicago, provided two
outstanding presentations on critically ill pediatric and obstetrical
patients. Evaluations from the conference sent a clear message....this
conference is a must do...every year. Next years plans have already
